Bulk materials storage and transfer is a major business in oil drilling applications. The bulk materials could be drilling chemicals, drilling mud, drilling cuttings or drilling sludges. KESMI design and manufacture different size of liquid mud plant according to your need. We can design and build both vertical tanks, rectangular tanks, round tanks etc. depends on your space and requirements. The primary purpose of Liquid Mud Plant is to keep good drilling mud properties in the wellbore as much as possible.
Within each drilling fluids supply base, you can usually find what “Mud” companies are working offshore from this base as they are represented in the form of a Liquid Mud Plant. This liquid mud plant is used to manipulate (mix, dilute, treat, adjust) various drilling fluids to be used in wells supported by this Supply Base. You can also find expanded drilling waste management (DWM) or solids control processing for drilling mud here, typically in the form of decanter centrifuges used to treat used mud that has been back loaded to the supply base. Offshore supply vessels are used to transport any drilling or completion fluids to and from the Liquid Mud Plant that cannot be mixed up or treated on location.

A Bentonite Bulk Silo is a specialized storage container designed to hold and manage bentonite clay in bulk quantities, typically used in industrial applications like oil and gas drilling, construction, and environmental projects. Offshore Drilling Cuttings Box also called mud skips, it is DNV2.7-1 2017 and EN12079 Certified by DNV or LR.
During offshore drilling, the OBM cuttings will be generated continuously. As the OBM cuttings is contaminate and is not allowed to discharge into the sea; the OBM cuttings can be shipped back to onshore through offshore mud skips. After that, the OBM cuttings with slops can be send to Thermal desorption unit for final treatment. If the OBM slops with high percentage oil, the OBM slops can go to Oil sludge separation unit to recover the oil first. After the oil recovery, the solids phase can go to Thermal Desorption Unit.
Offshore Mud Skip is popular applied in offshore drilling industry and other offshore industry. The size/volume of mud skip is customized per customer requirement. The roof normally should be Aluminium material for light open and close. Four sides forklift holes will be designed for easy movement; Polyurethane Anticorrosive Paint for Marine Box, much longer lifetime. We can also customize 20ft cuttings box, size similar to 20ft container.
