KESMl Rig VFD Control System can be applied to 400hp-3000hp Drill Rig

The drilling rig AC VFD control system is based on an AC frequency conversion speed regulation device as the core-part, combined with AC motor group, to accurately control key equipment such as the winch, turntable, and mud pump.

Multi or single drive VFD control system is adopted to design and provide VFD system of 400HP to 3000HP drilling rig, which has the features like excellent performance of speed adjustment, strong ability of overload, high-reliability, much integration, strong anti-interference, simplicity of operation and maintenances.

KESMl Rig SCR Control System can be applied to 400hp-3000hp Drill Rig.

KESMl adopts independent technology to produce analog and full digital DC drive control system; The System consist of Generator control unit, SCR control unit, Driller’s room control unit, Electromagnetic brake control unit, Automatic drilling unit, MCC.

KESMl Top Drive VFD Control System can be applied to 100t to 750t top drive system. The top drive VFD control system is one of the key technical equipment in modern drilling engineering.

It precisely regulates the motor speed by changing the power frequency. In the actual drilling process, the top drive speed can be quickly and flexibly adjusted according to different working conditions to adapt to diverse operational needs. Compared to traditional driving methods, VFD control systems have significant advantages.

Can achieve soft start, significantly reduce motor starting surge current, extending equipment service life:

High precision speed control can effectively improve drilling efficiency;

It transfers data through PROFlBUS to contro winch, rotary table, mud pump and automatic driller, and is monitored by lPC. The integrated driller operation control system adopts the positive pressure ex-proof technology, conforming to APl RP500 regulations. lt has the control functions including

  • Tripping and traveling block position control;
  • Automatic/manual drilling control;
  • Disc brake and dynamic brake control;
  • Rotary table speed and torque control;

KESMI GEN Control System has digital control and analog control system.

The digital control system relies on DSP or MCU to measure parameters with sensors and convert them into digital signals. The digital controller uses algorithms to judge and control the actuator (governor and excitation regulator) to adjust the output according to the parallel conditions.

The analog control system utilizes analog circuits to obtain parameters through measuring equipment and input them into the analog control circuit, generating error signals to drive the actuator to adjust

In oilfield applications, industrial television monitoring systems must comply with general standards and meet explosion-proof technical requirements. The installation process should not cause friction or impact sparks, and should not produce hot and high-temperature surfaces. The installation tools should be special explosion-proof tools made of special materials.

The turntable of the mechanical drilling rig is driven by a universal shaft through a backend diesel engine, and cannot rotate infinitely or in the opposite direction. Turntable Electrical Modification can achieve stepless speed regulation and reverse operation of the turntable. The driller’s console remotely operates the motor and displays system parameters.

Hybrid energy storage system for drilling is a system that combines multiple energy storage technologies to provide stable and reliable energy for drilling operations. The components include battery energy storage unit, supercapacitor energy storage unit, energy management system (EMS), power conversion system (PCS). The system combines an energy storage system with diesel generator (gas generator) to form a hybrid power drive for drilling operations, which can be widely used in various electric drilling and workover rigs. The system can monitor drilling load in real-time, achieve energy allocation, provide instantaneous power and short-term energy supplementation for drilling operations, and has good economic and environmental benefits.
