As the primary model delivered this time, the KSLW363 decanter centrifuge is the fourth-stage core equipment in the drilling fluid solids control system, exclusively designed for oilfield mud treatment. Unlike general-purpose separation equipment, it is tailored to the complex characteristics of drilling mud and the harsh working environment of drilling sites, with the core goal of stabilizing mud performance, reducing operational costs, and supporting efficient and safe drilling operations. This batch of KSLW363 centrifuges is customized according to the client’s actual drilling needs, perfectly matching the on-site working conditions and providing reliable support for the client’s solids control work.

The KSLW363 decanter centrifuge delivered this time is equipped with a top-level hardware configuration, laying a solid foundation for its stable operation in harsh environments. All main rotating parts of the centrifuge are made of high-strength SS316 or SS2205 stainless steel, manufactured through precision centrifugal casting or mold forging technology, which endows the equipment with excellent corrosion resistance and structural toughness, effectively resisting the erosion of corrosive components in drilling mud. The spiral conveyor is protected by tungsten carbide alloy tiles or special hard-facing technology, greatly enhancing its wear resistance when handling highly abrasive drilling mud containing fine solid particles, ensuring long-term stable operation under continuous heavy load.

In terms of core supporting components, the KSLW363 strictly adopts original Swedish SKF or German FAG bearings, and the bearing seat vibration is strictly controlled within 2–4mm/s, which can effectively absorb the shear force generated during full-speed operation, avoid equipment damage caused by strong vibration, and further improve the equipment’s service life. The centrifuge is also equipped with high-quality motors, with ABB/Siemens motors available as options, and main electrical components sourced from well-known brands such as SIEMENS, Schneider or ABB, ensuring the stability and reliability of the entire equipment system.

To adapt to the harsh working conditions of global oilfields, the KSLW363 decanter centrifuge is equipped with a full range of adaptive designs. For offshore drilling scenarios, the skid-mounted unit of the KSLW363 can be equipped with DNV 2.7-1 certification, fully complying with international offshore safety and hoisting standards, and treated with three-layer marine anti-corrosion coating to resist salt spray, humidity and chemical corrosion in marine environments. For onshore drilling in desert, cold and other extreme areas, the equipment supports explosion-proof configuration in accordance with oilfield standards, enabling safe operation in flammable and explosive hazardous areas.

The intelligent control system composed of VFD + PLC + HMI on the KSLW363 realizes stepless speed regulation, real-time operation monitoring and fault alarm functions, which can protect the centrifuge from overload, short circuit and phase loss, and flexibly adjust separation parameters according to changes in mud properties. With a maximum bowl speed of 3900rpm and a typical operating speed of 3200rpm, the KSLW363 can switch between medium and high speed modes as needed, efficiently recovering barite and removing fine solid particles of 2–5μm, accurately controlling the density and viscosity of drilling fluid, and maintaining the optimal performance of drilling fluid.

Before delivery, each KSLW363 decanter centrifuge has undergone strict factory inspection, constant temperature component testing and full-load operation simulation, ensuring that all technical parameters meet international standards and the client’s customization requirements. The KSLW363 has an operation capacity of 30m³/h, a bowl diameter of 360mm (14in) and a bowl length of 1271mm (50in), with a maximum G force of 3063 and a differential speed of 0~40, which can fully meet the client’s large-scale mud treatment needs.

Relying on its global service network, KESMI will also provide the client with comprehensive after-sales support including on-site installation, commissioning and technical training, ensuring that the batch of KSLW363 centrifuges can be put into use smoothly and efficiently. For many years, KESMI has been deeply engaged in the R&D and manufacturing of solids control equipment, and has formed profound technical accumulation in the design of oilfield-specific equipment and adaptation to harsh working conditions.

The successful delivery of this batch of KSLW363 decanter centrifuges not only meets the client’s urgent demand for high-performance solids control equipment, but also further consolidates KESMI leading position in the global oilfield solids control market. In the future, KESMI will continue to focus on customer needs, continuously optimize the performance and configuration of the KSLW series centrifuges, and provide more reliable, efficient and professional equipment and solutions for global oil and gas drilling operations.
