Oil slops and oily sludges are mainly derived from crude oil storage tanks, oil tankers and oil vessels. In compliance with environmental protection regulations, operators are prohibited from discharging such oily wastes directly into the environment. They shall engage professional oily waste treatment service providers to conduct standardized final disposal.
Our valuable partner Big W from Southern African Regions is professional oil slops and oil sludge treatment company with lots of equipment installed in their facility. Big W adopted boilers to evaporation first and then adopted Alfa Laval disc stack separators for the further separation of oil from water. After they have been working in this mode for many years, the increasing maintenance rate makes them headache with the aging of the equipment. From there, we discussed a lot about the possibility to adopt electrical heating device to replace the Boilers. And we found several advantages by using electrical heating mode for the evaporation of water from the waste oil slops.
Main equipment list in the Oil Slops Evaporation Separation Plant
1. 20ft customized make container to contain all the equipment
- The container size is exactly same as 20ft container in length and width. Can be shipped by 20ft SOC container, 40ft flat rack container or bulk vessel.
- The container with big doors to install the equipment and for maintenance purpose.
- The container equipped with axial flow fan and head light for night shift operations.
2. Two (2) sets of Stainless-steel Heating Reactor
- Each heating reactor with volume 1500 Liter, in total 3000Liters
- The two sets heating reactors can work alternately, which greatly improves the working efficiency.
- The reactors are made in 3 layers, including oil slops wetted layer, conducting oil layer, and heat insulation layer.
- The reactors are equipped with level meter which can help the operators to judge the waste oil slops level in the reactor
- The related safety valves, pressure gauges, flanges, connections are included
3. One(1) set disc separator with feed pumps
- Disc separator is designed to match the work flow of the entire system. It is equipped with VFD control panel for starting process. The treating capacity can reach 3~5m3/h. Bowl speed at 6600RPM.
- 2sets of feed pumps with VFD controls included
- 1set of operation water pump included
- 1set of slag discharge pump included
