The process of dewatering and thickening WBM typically involves the use of acentrifuge or a filter press. A centrifuge works by spinning the spent WBM at high speeds, causing the solids to separate from the water. The solids can then be removed and further processed or disposed of as needed. A filter press, on the other hand, uses a series of plates and filters to separate the solids from the water, resulting in a thicker, drier mud.
Compared with VFD screw conveyor, the manual regulation screw conveyor can work with fixed speed control cabinet, much easy operation and lower purchase cost. Also, the screw conveyor speed can be adjusted according to the need of drilling operations.
Recently, the Frac fluid treatment system manufactured by KES Separation Machinery for an oilfield company has come to an end. The whole system is being tested before leaving the factory. The system includes a dosing unit, a reaction unit, a sedimentation unit, a dissolved air flotation unit, and a fine filtration unit.
Based on our former experience in China domestic market, we had a deep communication with the customer. And finally, we reach technical agreement on the flocculation and filter press system. The basic working principal is to coagulate the ultra-fine solids and separate by filter cloth, press to mud cake. Before order, we showed the work site pictures, videos and customer feedback of domestic project.
As the drilling fluids contains many different chemicals, definitely it will affect the surroundings and environment if disposed without treatment. To solve the problem, we are developing drilling fluids Purification Unit which can further separate the fine solids from drilling fluids and make the water very clean to reach the standard of discharge, without contaminate the soil. Centrifuge and flocculent units system can help to solve this problem in relatively lower cost.
